The Marshall Catholic Newman Center is hosting a new event called Truth Tuesday Coffee House beginning next Tuesday.
"It's going to be an open conversation of different faiths and faith sharing," said Traci Ferguson, director of Campus and Community Outreach.
Ferguson said the meetings would be once a month from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. with a guest speaker from different religions each month.
Ferguson said they will have favored coffee and various cakes at the event. They are hoping to encourage a safe, conversational environment.
"We have a coffee house for stress-free week, the week before finals, but this is our first faith based coffee house," she said.
Ferguson said they are hoping to get donations from different organizations but they haven't determined that yet.
"We would like to receive some input from the students that come to next week's as far as what they would like to explore for a faith format. We will use that as kind of a blueprint of where to go next," she said.
Ferguson said they want the meetings to be casual conversation over coffee as opposed to a lecture environment.
