The Keith-Albee Performing Arts Center will host "Lord of the Dance" closing the Marshall Artists Series season.
"Lord of the Dance" is a high-grossing, worldwide tour based upon mythical Irish folklore originated by Irish-American dancer Michael Flatley.
According to the Marshall Artists Series Web site, "'Lord of the Dance' is a mesmerizing blend of traditional and modern Celtic music and dance. Battle lines are drawn, passions ignite and a love story fueled by the dramatic leaps and turns of dancers' bodies begins to build against a backdrop of Celtic rhythm."
Angela Jones, director of the marketing and external affairs for the Marshall Artists Series, said it is a show that millions of people around the world have seen and have been excited about.
"It's one of those shows people shouldn't miss out on especially because it is going to be free," Jones said. "It will be at the Keith-Albee, which is a beautiful venue to see any kind of show."
Full-time students can get one ticket for free with their student ID, part-time students can get one ticket for half price and faculty and staff can get two tickets at half price beginning Thursday.
Students can get tickets now with their student ID at the Joan C. Edwards Performing Arts Center, open from noon to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
