From Tony Award winning musicals to life-sized puppetry, the Marshall Artists Series continues its 65th anniversary with a schedule of spring semester events.

All events will take place in the Keith-Albee Theatre, 925 Fourth Avenue, except the International Film Festival, which will be held at the Cinema Theatre, 1021 Fourth Avenue.

The events will kick off Tuesday with "Titanic-The Musical" at 8 p.m. Based on factual characters, Tony Award-winning "Titanic" follows the story of the boat's historical voyage chronologically.

The spring International Film Festival will follow Feb. 8 through 14. The festival will present movies from France, Great Britain, Belgium, the Czech Republic and Germany. Movie titles, schedules, and summaries are available at the Cinema Theater and the Joan C. Edward's Performing Arts Center.

Life-sized puppet performances from Das Puppenspeil will get March underway. They will perform "The Snow Queen" March 1-2, at 7 p.m. and "Peter and the Wolf" March 2, at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.

March continues with "Art," the

internationally acclaimed, Tony

Award-winning comedy-drama by Yasimina Reza.

The Mozarteum Orchestra of Salzburg will perform April 9, at 8 p.m. Led by Chief Conductor Hubert Soudant, the orchestra is known for keeping alive the legacy of classical composer, Mozart.

Four-time Tony Award-winning musical, "Ragtime," takes place May 7, at 8 p.m. and will mark the end of this spring's MAS events. Based on E.L. Doctorow's best selling novel, "Ragtime" is a story of three very different American families at the turn of the century.

MAS events can range from $7 to $40, but all events are free for full-time Marshall students providing they show their student IDs. Tickets are available three weeks prior to show time at the box office in the Joan C. Edwards Performing Arts Center. Office hours are Monday through Friday, noon to 4 p.m.

Part-time students get half off for a ticket with their Marshall student IDs. Students must have their identifications at the show and may only bring a total of two ID's when purchasing tickets.

Full time faculty and staff may purchase tickets two weeks in advance and can receive two, half priced tickets. For more information, contact the Marshall Artists Series at 696-3334 or visit them at www.marshallartistsseries.org.
